The appearance of the knights of Ala Auxiliaria

Nell'immagine precedente sono rappresentati due cavalieri di una Ala di cavalleria .
Indossano corazze di maglia di ferro e scaglie di bronzo ( metallo almost always associated with the processing chips or strips ..) other than those of the infantry for the adoption of a cape on the shoulders of reinforcement.
The helmets are of high quality craftsmanship and finely decorated with motifs reminiscent of the hair, in other cases a cap with fake hair (probably horse hair ..) was applied to the top of cavalry helmets from simple invoice. A long
"Spatha" hangs from the right side and the shield, characterized by an oval closer, further differentiate the trooper from the infantry.
The harness of the horse, often richly decorated bear witness to the rank of knight in the ever-increasing Imperial forces.
